In the Central Valley, the light drops early once the holidays roll in. By late afternoon, the sky is already dim, and a lit-up roofline is what carries a home through those long winter evenings. The good news is that the weeks leading up to the season stay mild and dry here, which gives us a clean stretch to get lights up before the cold sets in.
We take the whole job off your plate, from supplying the lights to storing them after the season, all for one price. That is the way Merced Window Cleaning has handled holiday lighting from the start, and it is why customers do not have to think about it again once they book.
When you are ready to talk through your display, give us a call at (209) 658-7454.

Holiday lighting is priced by the linear foot of the run, with a job minimum, and most homes land based on how much of the property gets lit. The biggest jobs we have done run up to about $3,500. For repeat customers, a multi-year agreement is the value option: Two-year agreement, 10% off. Three-year agreement, 20% off, with the price locked for all three years. This is our most popular option. Both agreements are standing offers.

We light both homes and businesses, and the approach shifts a little depending on which one you are.

On a home, the lights go where they read best from the street. That usually means rooflines running along the gutters and ridges, plus windows, garage doors, trees, and bushes. If you are on a corner lot, our crew may suggest lighting the return side of the house too, so the display looks finished from both streets rather than trailing off around the corner.
The mild, dry fall weather is your window to get a home done before the holidays arrive. Booking in October or November is the surest way to have your lights up in time, since the wait can stretch to about two or three weeks once the season gets busy.

We handle commercial displays too, from a single storefront to a full property. That covers restaurants, shopping centers, office buildings, and HOA properties, and the per-foot pricing works the same way it does for homes.
For any commercial job, we quote in person. Our crew walks the property first, so we can factor in any lift rental the building calls for and confirm there is a usable power outlet to run the timer. That walkthrough is how we give you an accurate number instead of a guess.

We install commercial-grade LED bulbs, and we match each type to where it belongs on your property, so the whole display looks intentional. Everything comes in warm white, pure white, candy cane red and white, and multicolor, with other combinations available on request.

The C9 is the larger, brighter bulb, and it is what we run along gutters and roof ridges. It is our standard recommendation for rooflines because it keeps the install consistent and reads brightest and cleanest from the curb.

The C7 is a smaller bulb. We use it on windows, garage doors, and trees, where a tighter, more detailed light fits the space better than a full roofline bulb.

Mini lights handle the softer, filler areas of a display. They are what we reach for on bushes and smaller trees to round out the look.

Beyond handling the whole job, here is what sets our holiday lighting apart.

We have been installing holiday lights in the area for four years. That time on the ladder means we know the common failure points, we know what most homeowners are actually after, and we know how to get a clean result on the first pass instead of the third.

One price covers the materials, the install, the in-season upkeep, the January takedown, and the off-season storage in our own rented local unit. You store nothing and handle nothing. The lights are our equipment, so keeping them working stays our job, not yours.

Before you book, we build a visual mockup, a photo of your property edited in lighting software, so you can see the exact color and placement first. You know what the finished display will look like before a single bulb goes up, and we are on the same page from the start.

Every bulb and clip we use is professional material built to hold its color and keep running clean straight through the season, not the store-bought strands that fade or quit halfway through the holidays.

From your first call to off-season storage, here is how the job goes.
You call or request a quote online, and we start by asking about your budget and what you have in mind. We measure the linear footage of the run, either from aerial imagery or in person. If a fuller display would suit the property, say a corner return, a tree, or an added roofline, we send a second option alongside the first so you can compare. Either way, the quote is free.
Next we edit a photo of your property in lighting software to show the exact color and placement, and we email you examples with the breakdown. If you want a multi-year agreement, the two- and three-year terms come with that same breakdown, so you can see everything the price includes.
Once you approve the quote, a $300 deposit secures your spot, paid by card. We book your preferred available time, send automated reminders ahead of the appointment, and the crew texts you when they are on the way.
Our crew arrives with all the materials and lays out and measures the socket wire first. We install the bulbs with non-scratch clips that attach to the shingles or the gutter, with no holes and no drilling. Then we wire everything to the best available outlet, connect and set the timer, and test every light before we leave. We finish by showing you how the timer works, and we run the whole display on commercial-grade C9, C7, and mini LED bulbs with matching clips, a timer, and extension cords.
Through the season, we handle bulb replacements, timer resets, and any GFCI or extension issue, running power to a stable outlet when it is needed. Timer resets come up more than you would think, since a short power blip can flip a timer off. Many of these are simple enough that we can walk you through the fix over the phone, and when a visit is needed we come out fast.
Around the second week of January, timed to your preference, we come back and take everything down, usually a 15 to 30 minute visit. The lights go into our rented local unit until next season. Takedown and storage are already part of your quote, so there is nothing more to arrange.

We stand behind every display we put up. If something isn’t right, let us know, and we’ll do our best to fix it. If we can’t make it right, you don’t pay.
For holiday lights specifically, that means speed. If a bulb, timer, or connection fails during the season, our crew comes back and takes care of it, aiming for the same day or within the next two days. A dark stretch on your roofline during the holidays is not something we leave sitting.

No, we install our own commercial-grade lights only. We need to know the lights are new and know exactly what has been done to them, so we can stand behind the display and troubleshoot it through the whole season. We state this up front so you know before you reach out.
No, we do not install permanent lighting, and we do not install store-brand permanent light kits. What we provide is a fresh seasonal display, installed and maintained by our crew and taken down and stored when the holidays end.
No holes and no drilling. We use special non-scratch clips that attach to the shingles or the gutter without damaging your property.
Yes. We use clips that slide underneath the shingles and between the gutter guard and the shingle, so the guards are not in the way. It is a spot most homeowners cannot reach on their own, and it is no trouble for our crew.
October and November are the window to book for installation before the holidays. During the busiest mid-season stretch, the wait can run about two to three weeks, so earlier is always better.

Your quote and design mockup are free, with no obligation to book. If you would like to see what a professionally lit display could look like on your Merced home or business this season, we are glad to walk you through it and get you on the calendar before the holidays.
